Grammar Workshop for Professionals
Course Description
Grammar Workshop for Professionals will teach you the standard rules for proper usage.
Professionals who can write clearly and correctly are far more valuable to an organization than those who have erroneous business writing skills. Whether you need to refresh your knowledge of grammar and punctuation or know what’s grammatically correct but can’t always explain why this highly interactive and collaborative seminar is the perfect and painless solution, you’ll learn the standard rules for proper usage and grammar and work with your classmates to apply what you’ve learned in hands-on exercises and activities. You’ll return to your job with greater confidence and ability when writing any type of business correspondence.
In this Grammar Workshop for Professionals, you will learn the structural rules governing the composition of clauses, phrases, and words (morphology), the use of words in the construction of phrases and sentences (syntax), and grammar rules of the English language.
To provide evidence of the importance of good grammar, the company Grammarly reviewed 100 LinkedIn profiles of native English speakers in the consumer packaged goods industry. Each professional had worked for more than three employers over the first ten years of their career. Half were able to get a promotion to director level or above within those ten years, and the other half were not.
This grammar workshop is instrumental to conveying ideas with clarity, professionalism, and precision. Even so, the informality of e-mail, texting, and tweeting has crept deep into company communications. Good grammar is a sign of professional credibility, attention to detail, and learning ability.
